How to find the cheapest flights to anywhere

One method which has been shared more recently is a so called hack using Google Flights To find the cheapest airfare to anywhere follow these steps:

1. Go to Google Flights and enter your departure airport.

2. Leave the destination field blank or type in "anywhere"

3. Set your desired travel dates and other filters, such as trip duration, number of stops, and airlines.

4. Click the "Explore" button.

Google Flights will show you a map of the cheapest places to fly to from your departure airport on your chosen dates.

You can zoom in and out of the map to see more or less detail. The more you zoom in to a part of the world, the more flights and prices will appear for the various cities on the map as shown in the example below with India.

By selecting a city you desire to fly to, in this example lets say "Mumbai" you will be presented with the details associated with the price and alternative routes/carriers to get you there.

To find even cheaper flights, try the following tips:

• Be flexible with your travel dates. If you can, fly on weekdays or during the off-season to get the best prices.

• Consider flying into a smaller airport. Smaller airports often have lower landing fees, which can translate into lower fares for passengers.

• Book your flight in advance. The earlier you book, the more likely you are to get a good deal.

• Use a flight tracking service to monitor prices and book your flight when the price drops.

Here are some additional tips for finding cheap flights on Google Flights:

• Use the "Price graph" feature to see how prices have changed over time and to identify trends.

• Use the "Calendar view" to see the cheapest dates to fly on.

• Use the "Price alert" feature to be notified when the price of a flight changes.
